Stayed two nights. The hotel looks excellent, the interior is nice and modern/artsy. Very warm and welcoming. The location is good, close to the tram and within walking distance of the center of Amsterdam.
The room, however, was not quite as lovely. The need clearly had done its job many years ago; it was almost like falling into a hole. on the contrary, the pillow was hard as a rock.
The toilet/bath and the bed are separated by half a wall (the toilet does have doors, don't worry). But if you are sharing the room with your partner, you will know all that is going on...
The rooms are all in a large closed building, so windows look out at the indoor area, which is fine, but for some, it might feel a bit strange.
Breakfast was good, especially when we learned you could order eggs, pancakes etc freshlymade from the kitchen as part of the breakfast service.
