Pensão Aljubarrota

I was greeted by a friendly and welcoming staff and I already miss the small daily konversations. The place has a little worn retro touch over it which is charming in its own way, the place is in general kept pleasantly clean. Furthermore I highly apriciated the central location, access to a common ref regulator and the dayly fresh fruit and coffee/tea selection.

Sødt lille værelse med en romantisk altan, hvor det var muligt at nyde et glas vin til livet nede på gågaden. Stedet fungerede fint som et hostel med fælles køkken og køleskab og mulighed for at købe kolde drikkevarer og snack fra automat. Det lille hostel er en lejlighed næstøverst i en ejendom med mange trapper, som det ses mange steder i Lissabon. Værelset og de øvrige lokaler blev løbende rengjort. Det er fint at anbefale for kortere tid til billige penge og super lokalt.

Staff was friendly and very helpful. The kitchen, Salas, wc shower and room are well maintained and spotless :-) however there's no AC. Prepare for cardio exercise as it is located on the 4th floor and no elevator. Had a nice stay here :-)

I had a comfortable 3-night guesthouse stay that felt cosy like visiting grandma's house back in time. The reception and service was friendly and the Portuguese tiling and furnishings full of character. Best I loved the central location for walking around the beautiful old town, the main shopping streets lined with restaurants and to the waterfront. The city views from the balconies are very pretty and the location is super quiet because there is no vehicular traffic below. My single room was small with a sink (shared toilet and shower in hallway), and a cooling fan, heater and extra blankets that I didn't need in July. A basic kitchen (fridge, microwave) and sitting room with tv are shared, and free tea/coffee with biscuits are provided. The free wifi worked well and there were several outlets in the room for charging devices. I would recommend asking for a room with a balcony and bringing light luggage only, as the guesthouse is on the 4th floor and there is no lift in the building.
