Solo leisure trip.
Property: above average, clean rooms, all with a spectacular view, minimal noise (I was on a low floor so I got some music from the attractions but nothing disruptive). Suidobashi station is below the hotel, about a 4 minute walk from your room. Korakuen station is in the other side of Tokyo Dome City, about a 10 minute stroll from your room. Staff was fine. Japanese service workers typically are very polite and it was so here. I was in a very standard twin room—this room was large by Tokyo standards. You will have a difficult time finding rooms of this size at this price point with its same level of nearby attractions anywhere in the city. Has a Japanese style standard soaking tub and shower plus bidet—this is normal in all Japan hotels. Fridge, water and coffee in room, plus all the bathroom amenities and pajamas (also standard in Tokyo). Leave your toiletries and pajamas home and save on packing space.
Cons: The two train stations don’t run on main lines so getting anywhere takes 2-4 trains, with all the associated transfers/running in between. Also, beds are very much personal preference but my body is so sore. It was hard and after long days of walking and carrying bags, I wanted to lay in a comfortable bed. My back hurts and I’ll probably need to do something to fix it when I get home.
If there not for the train inconvenience, I would 10000% stay here again. I probably will anyway, but plan my trip out better to make the most use of my time.
