Inspired by the overall average to good reviews I booked this hotel for three nights, Well aware it was not Hilton.
Somehow I could not check in to the reserved (double)room due to some water damaged, and was relocated to a 4-bed room, though with me as the only guest.
The window could not be totally closed, and lacked either an insulation tape or a joint list and was open more than a centimeter in the top with heavy draft and cold coming in. The window bench had clear marks of water.
I asked to have it either fixed or to be moved to another room.
The message was, that it was not too bad, and I could just turn up the heat. Which would have not solved the draft and risk of rain coming in. On my suggestions a few towels were used as a makeshift sealing. But I was met with the answer that it was only for one night. Even it's not the Hilton, I still expect some quality as a paying guest.
The bathroom in this room was very dirty.
The two following days I got another room.
Still a drop of cold from the window, and was not able to have the curtains reach as they were a bit broken in the top. With the radiator heating up it bearable, though.
Would have been nice with a hook for the jacket in either rooms. So this could be an idea for an immediate and cheap upgrade and improvement of the rooms.
Cleanliness of this room was better than the first one.
Didn't mind the stairs but they are steap.
