Better to stay away
I’m a regular customer at Mehfil hotel since the past 10 years. Was at Mehfil in nov 2018 and again here in August 2019.
The standard for the hotel has gotten really low. Ecpecielly staff isn’t serviceminded at all. When we spoke about this to the manager she already was in self defense position. Our conversation ended with her saying “next time you can’t stay somewhere else.!” to which I replied you can bet I will. After being a regular customer for 10 years this is the treatment you get. We where told by the manager OYO has taken over and the standard has changed. I can tell you one thing. Standard has changed to the worse. Won’t recommend this hotel to anyone. Breakfast was small and tasteless. When me and my husband came down for breakfast and ordered our food, the waiter came back to my husband and said “weren’t you here earlier this morning?? “ even though we had just given him our room number. Bad service, bad staff, uncleaned rooms, with spiderweb on the windows. Tv not working, phone not working, when we got the room there were problems with the hot water. Later in the evening, the shower couldn’t turn to the cold water side.
If you book this hotel it’s on your own risk.
Better to stay away.
A suggestion: A good place to stay is Ealing broadway. It has some nice hotels and aren’t far away from Southall. You can take a bus directly to Southall from there for only 1,50£.
