Arrived outside our room 2 hours after check in time started to find the door open and someone’s bag and shoes splayed accross the floor and to hear a man in the bathroom he came out and then gestured this is my key and yours is in the lock and left with “his key”, we then messaged the hotel about the situation as we felt very uncomfortable with the thought of the man having a key and being able to return at any time. A very rude woman then stormed passed us huffing at us and then opened the door and FaceTimed what I’m assuming is the boss gesturing there was no one in the room and then flipping her camera onto us and walking off again without a word. Until we heard her shouting at the cleaner. We then got a call from what we are assuming is the boss asking what our issue was and we explained the situation. He denied anyone had been in our room but after checking the cctv he said “it might be their electrician fixing something with the toilet” (which we thought would be the job of a plumber.) I said it didn’t seem very professional and explained how it made us uncomfortable and we got a reply of “this is our hotel and our staff can enter the room whenever we want” and that was that very polite phone call over. And the toilet the electrician was ‘fixing’ was making a rather loud jingling noise for the duration of the stay.
The room in itself was fine for what we payed for although it got very hot and if you had the windows open you were kept up late by the noise outside
