When we arrived, our first room smelled like cigarette smoke badly and there was damage to all the furniture from previous guests. We asked to move to another room, where one of the bedside lamps did not have a working light, the furniture was, again, damaged, the fan was making noise and could not be used without safety concerns and there was no blow dryer to use. We called to request a blow dryer but the front desk simply stated "some rooms have them and others don't". I asked if we could get one and he responded that he could not get us a blow dryer. Additionally, there were cars in the parking lot that looked like people were living out of them and the staff was continually unavailable by phone and was outside talking to friends and vaping. We requested a refund as we decided not to stay due to the numerous issues, but the front desk manager, Dalton, needed to clear it with his boss. We waited for a bit but needed to leave to get to our new hotel. We never heard back from the team at Newport Inn By OYO....Do NOT stay here.
