Beautiful property, amenities are lacking
The property is beautiful and I had a nice view of the lake. The room and bathroom are very spacious and I loved the large soaker tub. Bed was very comfy. Not sure why people are saying hotel is dated. It’s meant to look like an Italian villa, so the furniture is classic vintage Italian. Staff was very friendly.
However, the amenities were lacking. I booked this place for a relaxing solo trip based on the listed amenities. The outdoor lagoon and hot tub were closed. The spa was lackluster. It was dark and I had to figure out how to turn all the lights on. The sauna wasn’t heated, and the hot tub only had 3 working jets. The lotion dispensers were all empty. It felt like an abandoned spa and was not the experience I was looking for. Seems unfair to charge a daily resort fee when most of the amenities aren’t working.
Also, this isn’t Hilton’s fault but the nearby village is like a deserted Italian villa that is past its hey day. Most of the places are out of business or only open certain days of the week. It feels like so much is missing from the overall experience of what has the potential to be a lovely stay/experience.
