The Hotel is OK. Located walking distance to Central Park and Time Square, no complain there. Breakfast is OK, rooms interiors are very acceptable. (pls add a coffee machine)
I paid for a Luxury Room and I was looking forward to enjoy my great view to Time Squares light show, but I had to settle for a window covered by a scaffolding blocking my view and a dead dove outside my window. I wanted to have my afternoon drinks at the beautiful terrace or patio that is exhibited on the hotel pictures, but I was met with “A Bar Terrace blocked due to construction or renovation. To cut a long story short, as I was met with a hotel covered by scaffolding, blocking my “Expensive Time Square Room View and a sealed terrace, preventing my entrance to have my drink there. By paying USD 1200, USD880 for 3 nights stay plus an unexpected hotel fee of USD337. Despite that on my invoice it says “including taxes and fees” I do have some expectations The Hotel swanks being 5 stars, I give them four.
The reception staff were nice but with lack of training and manners, referring to my wife several times as “SHE”. To my belief, the US Hotel pricing method and business concept have become, “The Wild West” and is at the edge of being fraudulent. Hotels charges and applicates fees as the they please but do not deliver when it comes to product. A hotel fee is an unavoidable payment “But what do the hotel fee covers, what do you get for that money? Fair questions, don’t you think?
