Overall, the stay was a bit disappointing. We had booked a Beachfront Pool Villa.
We arrived earlier than the check-in time, and had discussed airport transportation and early check-in with them days before, which they said wouldn't be a problem. When we arrived, we couldn't check-in and were asked to wait by the pool. They said they would come to get us, but no one showed up. We ended up going to the reception ourselves to find out that the room was ready; they just hadn't come down to inform us.
The room we got was okay, but you could tell it wasn't the newest. The air conditioning broke down on the first night, so we slept very poorly and had to ask them to fix it the next day, which took a long time as it needed a new engine. Afterward, the air conditioning made a lot of noise, but there was nothing they could do about it.
Their selection of soap and shampoo was very disappointing, and there was no conditioner, which one would expect at a 5-star resort.
On the last day, we were offered a "shower room," but it was dirty and the air conditioning wasn't turned on, so we walked into a room that was 34 degrees celsius hot, with hair all over the shower.
The staff are generally very nice, and their massages are okay. It's expensive compared to other places, but it's nice that it's easily accessible without having to go far for it.
It was nice that it was so easy to rent a scooter through the hotel, which got getting around the island much easier.
