I just returned home from a vacation with my parents In London, where we stayed at your hotel St. Athens. To be honest I’m actually really not happy about the stay.
We booked a room from home, thinking that we would get a 3 people bedroom with a nice bathroom and shower. This is what the pictures on your website showed us. At the arrival we find out that our room is without any bathroom or shower - very unfortunately.
We get a new room at the highest floor without an elevator (my dad is 70 years old, so this was kind of a chock) and had to pay an extra fee as well.
We had had a very long trip at this point because of the strikes and everything so we just paid, but I really don’t think this is fair. The room had almost no lightning besides to small lamps and the double bed was a very small one (not fitted for 2 people).
The room wasn’t clean, we found a lot of dust everywhere and there were bugs in the shower when we came in.
Lastly, we didn’t have hot water in the room for 24 hours, and I had to go down and ask for someone to take care of it after several VERY cold showers within those 24 hours.
I’m left with an extra bill and an unfortunately sad experience at your place – what should have been a great trip with my parents is now a little ruined after our stay. I think that a compensation is appropriate after this experience, at least some of our money back.
Despite of all of the above the staff was nice every time we rang the doorbell to get in.
