I’ll start with what was good. The apartment was clean and comfortable, and we were incredibly grateful for the air conditioning unit. It was also centrally located, as promised.
That is where the positives end for us. This apartment is located on a dirty, noisy street filled with garbage and people drinking and arguing throughout the night. In an earlier review, the owners responded that it was an urban environment and so noise is to be expected. Leaving the condescension aside, all you have to do is turn off the street toward town, and less than a block away, it is immediately cleaner and more welcoming. There are other “centrally located” options to stay in. We suggest you choose one of those.
In addition, only 1.5 rolls of toilet paper were provided for a 3 night/4 day stay for two people. The only toiletry provision was a tiny square of soap, and obviously watered down soap in a dispenser in the shower.
I replied to a message from the owners on Expedia as that was my only means to contact someone, and was told they only provide toiletries to get their guests started, and not for the duration of their stay. That was the final straw for us. If that’s their approach, they should be running a long term rental, not be listed on Hotels.com as a place to stay for a vacation.
They have extensive rules listed in 3 languages, including English. However, all communication from the property is only in French with a note to use a translation app.
Would not recommend.
