DISGRACEFUL STAY
I am writing to lodge a furious complaint regarding my recent stay at Holbrook Manor, which was nothing short of disgraceful. I am demanding a full refund for what can only be described as a completely unacceptable experience.
First and foremost, a wedding party was held directly outside our bedroom window (Room 12) — something we were never informed about, despite calling ahead at the time of booking. The music was excessively loud, guests were talking and laughing well into the evening, and it was utterly impossible to relax or sleep. The room had no air conditioning, so usually we would open the window, however we had no choice but to keep the window closed — and even then, we could still clearly hear every conversation and song. This was a massive breach of basic hospitality standards and a total failure to provide a peaceful environment for guests. It is completely unacceptable that no one thought it necessary to disclose the presence of a loud private event happening right outside our window.
Secondly, we explicitly requested a disabled-accessible room, as one of our guests is on crutches. This was clearly noted on the booking form. What we were given involved navigating ten steps even from the “disabled access” car park, and long corridors just to reach the room. My guest struggled throughout the stay. If your hotel is not equipped to accommodate disabled guests, you have a duty to refuse the booking
