The reservation was made for me by another party. The “hotel” is not a true hotel. The floors were sticky in the tiny lobby and the check in staff is situated behind a billet-proof glass window with a small window. The corners of the floor were dirty and dusty, the rugs in the elevator filthy and had not been vacuumed in several days. When I arrived to the 4th floor where my room was, the floors were sticky as well, the smell of weed was strong in the hallway. When I entered the room, which was about 100 sq ft, the only thing clean was the bed sheets. The quilt was dusty and hasn’t been washed in a while. There was dirt behind the desk and the bed. The ceiling was peeling, and has fresh water leak stains. I couldn’t tell you what the bathroom looked liked because I left, returned the keys and walked out. It was the most disgusting place I’ve ever been to. Disclosure: this facility is not only a hotel. They lease out rooms to the NYC government to be used as temporary shelters for homeless individuals. I’m glad NYC has a place to do that, but they shouldn’t be allowed to rent out rooms as a hotel.
