We were traveling due to evacuating for hurricane Milton. Due to severe traffic, we arrived at 4 AM, the clerk was extremely kind and welcoming, and offered a late check out without us asking. The room at first appearance was new, updated- With high thick mattresses and lots of pillows.
However, the room only had towels for two despite being a room for four- There were two large stink bugs on the wall when we arrived, Which I’ll give a pass maybe that just came in the door: However, we Proceeded to find several more in the air conditioner on closer inspection, after turning off the lights, we realize there was at least a half an inch gap between the door and the threshold… The floor was dark, gray faux laminate wood- Which visually hid how very dirty it was, we kept our shoes on 😬. The bathroom had been cleaned – but only quick/fast. It has not been deep cleaned in a long time, and there was a lot of crud in the cracks/etc. I find it disappointing to see that a hotel spent money to update- to be visually appealing And more comfortable …yet it’s not being properly cared for.
