The Townhouse Hotel provided reasonable accommodation for our overnight stay. On initially entering the building and checking in at the reception desk I felt a little awkward. The gentleman who attended was clearly rushed and lacked the social skills I am used to. He was polite but the information he gave regarding the hotel was spoken as if reading instruction. So for me, lacked engagement or interest.
Bedroom, on the surface appeared plain but clean I later noticed a collection of dust at the base of the lamp next to the bed. The bathroom, clean but the enamel is coming off the bath. The overhead shower is fantastic but the bath needs to be removed to avoid someone falling over the bath edge when stepping out.
Unfortunately, didn't sleep well, could hear everything going on outside.. buses, people, emergency sirens etc.
Breakfast was nice and the lady who greeted smiled and was helpful. Breakfast was fine, the fruit salad. choice of cereals and dried fruit was good. The cooked breakfast was ok, food could have been warmer but other than that no issues. The tables were attractive in appearance and the area was kept clean.
