We stayed for 7 nights in May 2016 (Sunday to Sunday) and generally found the hotel good and fair priced compared to many other NY hotels.
Our first room was located on the 3rd floor towards the street, which - despite it being a smaller one-way street - has quite a lot of traffic at all times a day, and a lot of garbage and delivery trucks in the morning. This first room had a really funky smell and a lot of noise and draft coming from the window, and we did not sleep very well that first night (especially not from early morning when the trucks started making a lot of noise from the street). We asked for a new room the following morning and was met with a friendly attitude from the staff who promised to have another room - this time on the 6th floor - ready for us when we came back to the hotel later that same day. The new room was much better than the first one - no funky smell, no draft from the window and only limited noise from the street. We slept very well all of the following 6 nights and enjoyed our room. The bed and pillows were really good, and the bathroom was very spacious with a bathtub and shower and a large sink and mirror.
The staff was generally very friendly and helpful with questions, luggage, hailing taxi's, etc.
