Booked the junior suite, as it had a small office attqched, which i needed for getting some work done.
The hotel itself is nice, and the location practical.
Cleaning is still slow, but given enough time, they DO eventually show up.
Thos trip was also my first time to try the breakfast, it is nice, large-ish, but as with many bangkok hotels, the selection caters more to the asian travellers, than to the westerners. I was avle to finde decent food every morning, though.
Staff was serviceminded, but not used to taking requests. As such a simple requeat for flowers on valentines day, or champagne for a celebration were big challenges for them, and i had to make my own arrangements, and ask for some help translating instead of them ha dling things for me.
The location is on the edge of the district, so a few hundred meters walk to everyrhing, but MRT, dining, park etc IS only a few hundred meters away.
The biggest drawback, aside from the heavy price, is the noice. With the location on Rama IV road itself, you hear traffice constantly, and emergency vehicles frequently, even at night. Light sleepers beware.
