We managed to have a decent stay, for the 5 nights, but we faced alot of problems unfortuantly.
- A very slow check in
- person checking us in, complained that he was feeling sick
- our room had no hot water, no bathrobes, balcony door didnt open, no view allthough we had booked with a view. We got changed to a new room, but we struggled getting hot water the whole week.
- no benefits, from being Gold member on hotels.com
- undertrained staff, they constantly direct you to someone else, however restaurant staff did a fine job.
- very nice mexican food found at outside stands, nice initiative. The lizard offers good food, so do the adults pool. The rest of what we tried, was below average.
Especially the brasseri was a disaster. That got to be the worst meal i had in a hotel. Salats are not worth eating. The lamb shank, is not shank, but a cheap bone cut from the lamb back. The desserts were off too.
- We go to cancun/playa every 3months, this was our first stay in the fives hotels. I have to say that compared to our normal stays, this was a disappointment. They hold all possibilities to make a great hotel, but they fail on so many things, which is unusual in mexico.
