Really nice hotel rooms. Very comfortable beds.
The service at the hotel was not as we would expect from a hotel stay. On serval occasions we felt we had to organise our stay around the hotels procedures and rules. Examples:
When checking in we were told that there were no breakfast slots available between 7:30 and 10 am for the first 3 mornings of our 4 day stay...but we could bring the breakfast to our room!!.
Visiting the bar in the evening 15 minutes before closing, they were more busy informing us that they were closing soon, than serving us, even though we had been told that as long as we ordered before closing we could still sit in the bar drinking our drink. They had great difficulty in telling us the price of their spirits - the only price list was apparently in the cash register...
If you want your room cleaned, you had to inform them a day in advance. Otherwise no cleaning. To have your beds made daily, is for us an important part of the luxury of staying in a hotel.
We just felt that it was constantly us who had to make decisions and requests - we were on holiday!
A shame as this is actually quite a nice hotel
