The hotel is ok, but seriously overpriced and very poor value for money.
It is priced like a luxury hotel but the fittings and rooms were tourist class.
Rooms are small and dark. It did not help that although we checked in early, we were offered only a choice of a second floor room that shared a wall with the restaurant, or ground floor rooms with doors that opened to the outside of the hotel. There were apparently no other rooms available, although it didn’t seem the hotel was that full.
Amenities are seriously lacking in the room - no tissue paper or body cream, nor room slippers or bathrobes. Heating in the room is centrally controlled, and you will need to walk to the reception to request changes to the thermostat because there are no phone lines.
The decor looked dated and furniture are not well maintained - with scratches in the cabinets. Someone had also tried changing the temperature of the heater unsuccessfully abd punched a hole on the plastic panel,
I would say fine if you can get a good price for the room. However if you are paying, like we did, more than for a four star hotel in Bergen, then you will find it quite disappointing.
