Terrible Experience with Receptionist at Ibis Colmar
We had an awful experience during our stay at Ibis Colmar, and we feel compelled to share it. Upon checking in, the receptionist could not find our 3-night reservation in her system, even though we had our receipt and booking confirmation on the Hotels.com app. Instead of trying to resolve the issue professionally, she became incredibly rude and aggressive, even threatening to call the police.
It was an extremely stressful and uncomfortable situation. After much unnecessary back-and-forth, it turned out the issue was a problem with the Ibis system, not our booking. However, instead of helping us through it, the receptionist treated us terribly, wasted our time, and left us with a very negative impression of the hotel.
This kind of behavior is unacceptable, especially when we were simply trying to enjoy our time in Colmar. We hope Hotels.com takes this into consideration to prevent future guests from facing similar issues.
