My son and I arrived first and wandered the area to also explore the desert area. We immediately used the bathrooms and were "disgusted." It looked like an animal used them before us. A porter-potty at a truck stop was more cleaner.
We also noticed the gas prices were more expensive than "Stovepipe Wells" which was 20 minutes away. Thankfully, we filled up in Beatty, NV. We went into the "General Store" to look around and the prices were way over-inflated to be polite.
We attempted to check in to our yurt tent and was informed that housekeeping had to go through it first and come back in an hour. We wandered more.
We came back and the associate looked like a dear in a headlight. But remembered my name. He stated "it wasn't ready." And his feet dragged more.
I then explained to cancel the reservation and we'll drive the 1 hour to Ridgecrest, CA. He just shrugged his shoulders and made no effort to encourage us to stay. We left and i was still billed on my credit card.
On the positive, we left and stayed in Ridgecrest, CA in civilization with a comfortable bed, a clean bathroom, and a staff who welcomed us in with open arms. (Motel 6, Ridgecrest, CA). One hour from this so-called facility.
