STOLEN ENGAGEMENTRING- DESTROYED ENGAGEMENT
A couple of days ago I proposed to my girlfriend on the beach in La Badira. 3 days after, the engagement ring was stolen from our hotel room. We for sure know that when we left the room in the morning for the pool, it was in side the box that comes with the ring in a bag! But when we came home my fiancé could not find the ring, that made is rush and look in all our stuff, EVEN when we both know that the ring was inside the box in a little black bag!!! I went down to the reception and told them the story and went back to my room and looked in my other stuff to make sure that nothing else was taken. I found out that some money also was taken, from a bag that was hidden away. We talked with the security manager that told us that the only one that have been inside our room, was the cleaning staff.!!!! of course the hotel recommended us to use a safety box when we checked in. BUT my fiancé and I have used a lot of hotels and have never used a safety box before. We choose to pay a lot for our hotel visit, to feel safe and happy for our stay! but obviously you can not do that in La Badira! WE will not recommend the hotel for anyone in our family or friends. This has destroyed our whole vacation AND engagement. We should come home and celebrate this, but instead of, we are trying to figure out what we can do know! We booked the hotel on hotels.com and HOPE that hotels.com will try to help us.
