The hotel itself is nice, and the service during my stay was generally good. The staff were friendly, and the facilities lived up to the expectations of a property in this category.
However, my experience was ruined by a serious billing error and the complete lack of follow-up afterwards. Upon check-out, I was mistakenly charged twice for the room – a significant amount. Now, 16 days later, the overcharge still hasn’t been refunded, which is simply unacceptable.
Even worse, I’ve sent three emails over the past week and haven’t received a single reply. For a hotel that presents itself as a luxury destination with world-class service, this kind of customer care is far below standard.
It’s not the first impression, but how a hotel handles issues that truly shows its quality – and in this case, Fairmont The Palm has failed completely.
I cannot recommend staying here unless you’re willing to risk having your money tied up for weeks without accountability or communication.
