Our air conditioning did not work for the first 24 hours of our stay, meaning we barely slept the first night because it was so hot in our room, and windows could not open. We were in touch with reception three times before it was fixed. Also we were allocated a room that was made as a double with a common sheet across the beds although we booked a twin.
The room was really small with nowhere to put two suitcases. But most of all the cleaning of the room was terrible. The floor was dirty when we arrived and during the daily cleaning all that was done was clean towels, a new toilet roll, the beds and empty trash. No clean mugs and glasses were given, no refill of Kleenex, and no cleaning whatsoever.
Also in the description of the hotel on Hotels.com it stated that the hotel is close to the Olympic Stadium (which was partly why we booked it) which is simply wrong.
We complained numerous times, but the reception staff didn’t seem to care or take notes, so no one followed up on any of it, and when emailing the hotel after our stay it took them about two weeks to reply. And all they offered us was an upgrade if we came back. And we definitely will not.
On a positive note we did enjoy the skybar and the breakfast buffet, and the restaurant staff were very friendly
