Booked room through Expedia for March 7-9 and confirmed booking. A minute after confirming the booking received a notification, that the booking was for March 9-March 11 (Sunday- Tuesday). Called the hotel, but hotel doesn’t respond after 5pm. Called Expedia and Expedia tried to work with hotel manager to cancel booking without any penalties. Hotel manager would not cancel the booking, even though clearly their hotel is fully booked and utilized. Expedia blamed the manager and the manager blamed Expedia. Poor business ethics, poor customer service from the hotel staff when we called to talk to someone, and poor response from hotel manager. Will advise family and friends of the experience, as well, will never book another trip through Expedia. Lesson in this, is purchase the extended coverage in every booking, as there are glitches in the Expedia system, and poor customer service from hotel management 👎 we were looking forward to rebooking for the correct dates but hotel staff don’t answer the phones past 5pm. An offer was made one time by the manager to rebook with them on another date, but after having a conversation in person with the manager and realizing how ignorant he is, we presumed that the offer would not be made again, and will take a $400 hit to not deal with rude business owners.
