Beware that everything on Capri costs +200% than rest of the Napoli area. This also goes for hotels, and since we were bringing a dog our options were very limited, hence we settled for this hotel. We also picked Anacapri as we wanted to experience the nature and calmness of Capri, and wanted the proximity of the Blue Cave, cable carts etc. But be preparred that a 10 min. taxi ride is 35€ and everywhere they charge extra; on the boat they charge for the dog, for extra luggage, for wearing a loud shirt, for walking on the cracks in the pavement... well maybe not :) But the overall impression is that when you arrive at Capri you are plundered by locals trying to make a buck on every little thing. This hotel however is run by a nice little family and the atmosphere was calm and pleasant and the view from top of Anacapri and the sunset is absolutely amazing. But if you also would like to enjoy the nightlife and business of Capri and the harbor area you should rent scooters. Public buses are tiny-winy and you would not like to stand up in a small oven-like minibus for long. Neither would you be able to rent or bring a car to the island.
