Not international 5 star class
This hotel prides itself on being a family owned 5 star luxury hotel with a Michelin restaurant.
Most staff effort seem to be focused on getting hotel guests into the Michelin restaurant opposed to making guests comfortable in their rooms.
I've stayed in plenty of international 5 star luxury hotels and Le Phébus is sadly nowhere near international 5 star class. Sadly a few - to me - important factors are missing:
1) Failure of staff to react or rectify a very noisy air conditioning unit in the room. Despite being informed of this noisy AC and the fact that a full night's sleep was impossible when AC was on, the hotel did not fix it, did not offer an alternative room or otherwise proactively approach me with a solution during my stay. Only upon checkout, when I told of my disappointment, the front desk reached.
2) Discount hangers in wardrobe, not proper hangers that one has a home but the ones that can only hang in the wardrobe. This is not fitting for a 5 star hotel.
3) Very pushy to book dinner at their Michelin restaurant. At every staff interaction, I was asked if I wanted to book a table at the gourmet restaurant. This felt very, very pushy and made me feel rather uncomfortable.
Despite the above, I had a very relaxing stay at Le Phébus and would return if they would fix the noisy AC and have less pushy staff....
