I arrived to find notices that hotel was undergoing renovations. Staff was very nice. The room was not so much. Toilet seat was so very bad - I went to the front desk and asked for another room. The night manager was very cordial. She brought keys for two other rooms and looked at the toilet seat. I said to her, I wouldn't even let her sit on it. She agreed.
I moved to the new room. In the morning, I found one of the sinks had virtually not water flow and the light over the other sink was burnt out. Again, front desk was very cordial and sink and light were replace by end of the day.
The microwave was very old (it had older rotary dial for time) and was rusty on the inside. The door to the mini fridge was scratched and the scratches were all rusting.
I wear flip flops when in the room - good thing. When I showered in the morning, the water initially turned dark with the room dirt from the bottom of the flip flops turning the water dark. Yuk!
The hotel has no television station "key". Stations must be found by "surfing". The front desk confirmed this! Fortunately, the major networks, ABC, CBS, & NBC are in the first 8 stations - but still - no station listing in the rooms!! Seriously!?
Bottom line, the hotel has been purchased and is undergoing ongoing renovations. While the staff, day shift and night shift are cordial and helpful, they can't overcome the rooms' poor conditions.
If you are thinking about staying at Sono, ask first if the renovations are complete!!
