Not impressed overall
First of all, let me say that all staff at this hotel was personable, professional, and kind. The staff was not the issue. I was told this was their off season, yet the pool was over capacity and unless you like the Spring break, busting at the seems, being jumped on by wild children while trying to float in a lazy river that is bumper to bumper tubes with no breathing room swimming scene... this is not the place for you. All the pools were at max capacity. There was no parking in the hotel grounds. We had to circle the parking lot 3 times to find a spot to park to get to our room when we checked in and had to walk 4 buildings down. It felt like they let anyone in to the waterpark area and thus hotel guests have to fight for a place to park because by the night the parking lot was much more empty.
The hotel room was dated and smelled odd. The tub had a constant water leak, not a drip but a full leak (not at all eco friendly). There were drain flies in the bathroom which means they have a sewer/drain problem somewhere. The doors between adjacent rooms provide zero sound barrier and the toddlers next door screaming the entire time made for a rather unpleasant stay.
Positives:The grounds were immaculate. It was very peaceful in the early morning.The staff was friendly. The water was readily available to ensure hydration if you walked all the way to the front to get it...
but for the "resort dollar" it felt far more self serve and water park over crowded than high end resort.
