Beautiful hotel, but service could be stepped up
The hotel is clean and modern; the pool was wonderful. The location is great - close to airport and shopping and on the waterfront.
One comment on the hotel itself - the shower water pressure was sub-par and hard to determine where hot and cold mixed; and when you change the temperature, it takes up to 2 minutes for the temperature of the water to change after you move the handle.
From a service perspective, two issues:
1. Valet parking, which is outsourced to Ace Parking was not ideal. We pulled up behind two other cars which were also waiting in front of the hotel main doors; we waited and waited. Another car came up behind us, then passed us and went past Valet, and Valet came running out to service that car. My wife got out and asked Valet why they didn't take the cars in order - they had no answer. They also did not pro-actively engage customers as they drove up - and we realized that the car in front of us was simply "waiting" for a friend pickup and not in Valet. They need to do a better job of identifying a line for Valet, and a line for dropoff/pick up like all the good hotels in Las Vegas do. This way, Valet should be approaching any car that approaches the hotel, so that they are not waiting.
2. I got a call at 9:40pm at night (we were sound asleep as we had a 4am Uber to the airport). The hotel reception called me at 9:40pm just to ask if I wanted to put my points on my account. Really? That couldn't wait until a reasonable time. Awful!
