"We thoroughly enjoyed out stay at the Empire. The bar girl and our waitress in the dining room were so helpful and friendly. Our room was very comfy although one side of the electric blanket didn’t work. The creaky floor added character to the building. The entrance with its beautiful staircase and furniture was so beautiful . Thoroughly enjoyed our meal in the dining room and our breakfast the next morning. Would recommend this hotel to our friends.😊. "

The biggest bonus is the restaurant and bar with beautiful fireplaces burning all day. Meals are generous and daily specials are enticing. Ill be back!"

"We booked one night in the lodge. The instructions for check in were easy to follow and our room and the communal areas (kitchen and bathrooms) were very clean and presentable. The lodge is right right next to the restaurant and Altho we did not eat there, the food smelt delicious."

"We really enjoyed our stay at Waratah. The rooms were clean and the meals wonderful. The Bischoff is easy walking around the town and we were lucky enough to spot a platypus or two in the nearby lake. Check out the local waterfall lit up at night. Great location! "

It would have been much more inviting if the hosts had the heater running prior to our arrival, but once the property warmed up after a few minutes the shock of how cold it was faded away. We stayed in the 1837 cottage. The accommodation is rustic, eclectically furnished and decorated, and gives an appreciation of life in times gone by. If you are after elegant, refined and well finished accommodation...
