The upstairs deck is beautiful - really nice place to hang out at night. Daytime it is scaldingly hot out there starting about 7 AM, though. Zeida was so sweet - she's the one that makes (a really nice) breakfast in the morning. Always a smile, always pleasant, and works with you when you speak to her in broken Spanish, without judgment. I love the hot water and chilled water dispenser making it easy to stay hydrated and not buy single use bottled water. There's definitely no wi-fi - but that's pretty consistent across the island...not the property's fault. Check in was chaos - no one at the desk, and no one answers the Whatsapp phone number they give you. I waited several hours out front before giving up. Eventually I just wandered upstairs and found an open room and made myself at home since it was getting dark. haha. Turns out that was indeed my room, but how would I have known that? Two other guests had the same experience the day before but were less presumptious than I, and just went across the street and paid for a hotel room at another place. This is not a social place - anyone hoping to meet people while traveling, this is not the spot for you - unless you happen to be having breakfast same time as someone else, and then be presumptious enough to make conversation, there's not much chance for interaction with other guests - no programs, no common kitchen, etc. But all in all, location is terrific, rooms nice and clean, and Zeida's breakfasts make this place great.
