It was an exceptionally clean and well maintained apartment in downtown Anchorage. The owner/ manager Jeff is really nice and cooperative. I am a solo female traveler and felt quite safe. A full kitchen and separate bedroom for the price of a hotel room was a really good deal. I was in apt 5 and the view was fantastic. Rooms are secured by a code and they have paid laundry too. They also have other apartments with more bedrooms, so it’s good for families.
The only few considerations are: 1. Lots of stairs to reach the apartment. 2. Homeless people on the street as soon you get out - they didn’t cause me any problems, but I was a little unnerved. 3. All major stores like Walmart, Walgreens, Carrs, etc are in mid-town, so you need to spend on Uber.
Both 2 & 3 are not an issue if you have a car, I didn’t.
