This hotel is located steps away from Plaza de Armes in Cusco. There are two properties named Hotel Garcilaso in Cusco and they are on the same block. We stayed in hotel #2, but if you end up in hotel #1 like we did, they will check their reservation system and then point you in the right direction to hotel #2.
Generally, the hotel was located in the heart of Cusco, which made for exploring the city quite easy. It was convenient to head to San Pedro market, as well as the other tourist attractions in the area.
The wifi was generally okay - nothing spectacular but it allowed for some surfing. Download speeds were generally much better than upload speeds.
The complimentary breakfast was also a good value, as there were several food items to choose from. There were also a variety of juices as well as fruits.
The staff speak a bit of English so we didn't have any trouble getting at the front desk after we arrived.
Overall, the hotel was generally pretty good and I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is in Cusco for a few days and needs periodic access to the Internet.
