On November 25, 2018 we had 2 night stay reservations, round trip Trenitalia train tickets, and tour tickets to visit the Cathedral in Siena, Italy. The trains were on strike and we could not make the trip to Siena. Then I called the hotel directly to advise them of our dilemma and told him we could not travel to Siena today. He was very rude, he laughed out loud at me, while on the phone, when I told him we needed to cancel our reservation. He told me that was impossible, and he laughed out at me again. I asked his name. He told me that was “not important.” I told him I would be filing a “denuncia”. I told him not to laugh at me. He told me I could take a bus. We were at the train station, it was pouring. I did not know how or where to get a bus. Signor “Not Important” hung up on me.
For your information, I used one free night to book this reservation for 2 nights at “Quattro Contoni (5202051). I haven’t lost a lot of money, but Quattro Contoni has lost all of my respect for their rude behavior.
I will never try to book with this hotel again. I am also very disappointed with the UK. Hotels.Com email that gives me phone numbers without a country code leaving me in the dark as to which UK country I should call.
