The hotel was nowhere near finished.
* There was no proper reception with staff present. Upon arrival, we had to search for an employee to assist us.
* We were given a WhatsApp number for any requests, but they only responded half the time.
* We were promised regular cleaning, but the room was never cleaned. We had to ask multiple times just to get fresh towels, and even then, they were full of holes!
* The elevator door wouldn’t open properly because the doorframe was in the way, making it impossible to get our suitcases through.
* The hotel was a complete construction site, with dust, debris, and a strong smell of wet paint everywhere.
* We were told the main entrance was locked at night for security reasons, yet several doors leading to the street were left open 24/7, making it both cold and unsafe.
* The windows in our room wouldn’t close properly either.
* Construction went on day and night, causing constant noise, and the door to our room was flimsy, like thin cardboard.
* While the room itself looked nice, the bathroom was dirty.
* Freshly painted walls and wet plaster were not marked or blocked off, which resulted in our jackets being covered in white paint and plaster.
They should have clearly informed customers that the hotel was under major renovation, allowing guests to make an informed decision about whether they wanted to stay there. If I had known the true state of the hotel, I would never have booked it. They should give a partial refund.
