The good:
In summer I think this place would be a lot more appealing - there’s a small garden and some view of the Bosphorus.
Service is good in the sense that they open doors for you, and bring your suitcase to the room
Very close to main attractions - but bear in mind that will only keep you occupied for a couple of days
Breakfast is decent
Right across from the blue mosque
The bad:
Cleaning is not acceptable. As in abysmal. I had a long black hair in my tub from I arrived till I left 3 days later (which was also 3 days early) - I don’t have long hair and it’s not black. Parts of the room had not been cleaned in ages, screws were missing in the handles, TV and lamps not plugged in, safe malfunctioned, holes in the ceiling, bathroom beyond what I would expect even in a 1 star hotel.
Interior is dated - not as in “used to be awesome but now quirky sound of way” - but as in: in which universe is this a four star hotel? (See photos)
The hotel rates as 4 stars - it’s somewhere between 1 and 1,5 stars in reality, and that’s me being nice
I left 3 days early although the hotel was prepaid, and paid for another hotel instead - that really says it all
Depressing place to me, especially if you have to spend time in your room.
For hotels.com:
I barely recognized my room and the hotel from the hotels.com description and photos, and passing this off as 4 stars is absurd.
I simply don’t accept this hotel as being much more than 1 or 2 stars.
