As a travel agent I like to do a lot of research before choosing a hotel. When I found this hotel there weren’t many reviews, but they were all five stars. I see why. From the moment we arrived the staff did everything they could to make sure our stay was perfect. Carmen, our hostess, made sure we had everything we needed. She and her lovely mother, Teresa, created a romantic dinner for two under the stars overlooking the Amalfi Coast and she had breakfast and lunch sent to our room when we requested. (We even got to sample Teresa’s delicious homemade limoncello). Carmen made sure our hot tub stayed warm and that we had information regarding taxis and ferries.
If you are looking for a peaceful and quiet one-of-a-kind villa, Il Melograno is perfect. It is rustic, yet modern, and very nicely furnished.
Make sure you let Carmen know when you are arriving because they will bring your suitcases up from the road for you. There are stairs and a walkway to get to the hotel from the road. This makes it so very ‘Italian’ and we loved that it was not near the town but more in the mountains. The view was amazing.
Thank you to Carmen and her amazing coworkers for making our visit something we will never forget. (The finest hotel staff in the world could not compare to Carmen)!
