At check-in, the Clerk processed my credit card and announced out loud (loud enough for other guests to hear) "It went through" as if it was a some great surprise; like I was some sort of lower caste bum that couldn't afford to stay there? I was mortified and embarrassed, but was exhausted and just wanted to get to our room.
He then gives us a room on the ground floor by the laundry. If that wasn't enough, the room refridgerator had garbage in it! Had to gather our belongings and walk back to the desk to demand another room.
The room we ended up with on the 4th floor was a downgrade (twin queen when I reserved a king, but no more were available?). Room was clean, but furniture was scuffed up and tired looking.
I stay at Hilton hotels infrequently, but know this is not by any means up to the standard they hold. Sudbury Hilton needs to have a very serious review of their customer service. Shameful!
