We stayed 5 days at the hotel as part of a 2.5 week trip to Florida.
Let’s start with the positive; the rooms are spacious, very quiet and well equipped (washer/dryer, oven, microware etc.) and the rooms and hotel property are clean and well maintained.
The hotel is located in a somewhat strange area; there are a few restaurants around, but it’s not really part of the town, which you can only access by car.
On the negative side, the hotel staff is very unprofessional and welcoming, and at times you felt that you were more a hassle that the one ultimately paying their salary. The breakfast is free, but far from acceptable standard, lacking basic things like cheese, bacon etc., not filled up during breakfast hours, served on plastic plates and for the most not really tasty. You can of course choose not to eat at the hotel, but there are not really any alternatives nearby. Also, valet parking is quite expensive (30 USD/night) again, there are no alternatives street parking requires that you visit the parkometer every 2 hours during the day from 08:00-22:00.
If we decide to visit Fort Lauderdale again, we will definitely choose another hotel.
