I honestly don’t understand how this hotel has received such high ratings, who is writing these reviews, or where other hotel guests have stayed at before. Our experience was anything but wonderful. A basic training in customer service would be enough to resolve most of the issues we encountered.
Our four-day stay was absolutely average, with poor customer service from the reception team.
Check-in was quick but completely uninformative. We had booked two Superior rooms, received two sets of keys, and were simply pointed toward the lifts. The receptionist showed no interest in telling us anything about the hotel unless we specifically asked questions.
The first morning, I woke up looking forward to a cup of coffee with a view of the mountains—only to find that my coffee machine didn’t work. It was plugged in but completely unresponsive. Having spent the last 15 years frequently staying in hotels, I know how to operate a coffee machine. After some investigation, it seemed that the fuse had blown, as nothing worked when plugged into that particular outlet. I tested the kettle in a different plug, and it worked fine, confirming that the issue was with the outlet, not the machine itself.
I called reception, and a staff member came quickly but was unable to fix the issue. She said she would send a technician and asked if I would like a replacement machine. I told her I was heading to breakfast and would appreciate it if the issue could be r
