Disappointed by Poor Communication & False Claims
I booked this accommodation for two nights while attending a conference in Phoenix. Upon arrival, I was pleasantly surprised by the size of the unit, but there was a noticeable damp smell. Unfortunately, the internet was not working, which also meant no TV access.
I immediately contacted the host via text and the Hotels.com platform, and they responded that they were "aware of the issue" and that someone 'might' come out in 48 hours—which was unacceptable since I needed internet for work during my stay.
I expressed my urgency, and they said they would "try their best." After that, I never heard from them again.
When I later requested a partial refund due to the lack of internet, Hotels.com informed me that the host denied the request, falsely claiming that no issues were reported—despite our messages being documented on the platform.
Additionally, the unit is not well-equipped for women. The ironing board is tiny—please invest in a full-size one seriously. The bathroom lighting is terrible—a single small fluorescent light makes it nearly impossible to do makeup properly.
Overall, the lack of communication, disregard for guest experience, and dismissive attitude from the host was extremely disappointing. If you need reliable internet or decent amenities, I would highly recommend looking elsewhere.
