Our stay at the Weingart Istanbul Hotel was disappointing from the moment we arrived. We had booked a $100 per night room but were told at check-in that we’d been "upgraded" to a room at the Weingart Port Hotel, a separate property. This "upgrade" felt more like a downgrade, as the room was worth around $50 per night and located on the 4th floor of a building with no elevator. The staff at the Port Hotel were indifferent to our concerns and offered no apology or assistance.
After a night at the Port Hotel, we were moved back to the main hotel, but the $110 per night room was only a slight improvement. The air conditioning didn’t work, making it impossible to sleep comfortably, and despite reporting it, the staff didn’t seem interested in fixing the issue.
The worst part of the stay was dealing with a rude receptionist. When I raised my concerns, he responded sarcastically, suggesting that I should’ve stayed in the original room to see it "wasn’t as nice." His dismissive attitude and lack of professionalism left a sour impression on the entire experience.
Overall, between the unhelpful staff, poor room conditions, and the rude receptionist, our stay was frustrating and disappointing. I cannot recommend this hotel due to the lack of service and the many issues we encountered.
