Rip Off - no room by Extended Stay
Water damage to rooms left me without a place to stay. That can happen. The problem is that my pre-paid reservation has still not been refunded. I took a photo of the computer screen at the front desk showing they had cancelled my room. I sent this to a Hotels.com supervisor via their Chat feature. They said that this wasn’t sufficient because it’s on the hotel’s internal system - no kidding!
Hotels.com says the hotel requires a written inquiry from them and then they confirm the room was unavailable. Well, this was supposedly done when I was live chatting but nothing has happened. The hotel is almost impossible to contact as they don’t answer the phone. How many days does it take for these two organizations to communicate and process the refund? Or maybe they just want to charge for service they failed to render.
