Les Jardins de JosĂ©phine is a charming hotel in a lovely location with beautifully maintained gardens and a high-standard building. Itâs a short drive from the city, and thereâs a bakery and coffee shop within walking distance.
The room was stylish, comfortable, and spotless. While not huge, it had plenty of space, a comfy bed, and a modern bathroom with a great shower. Including hair conditioner would be a nice extra.
The main downside was the check-in process. The hotel doesnât have a reception and sends an access code for the gateâbut I never received it. The gate system wasnât working properly, and the call button went unanswered. I eventually reached someone by phone who came to help, but they also struggled with the gate. It would be helpful if the hotel reviewed reservations more regularly or set up an automated system to send codes and instructions as soon as a booking is made.
If youâre arriving, go to the metal main gate entrance. There are two, and the wooden one is not ideal â driving around to the correct one saves confusion.
Despite the check-in issue, I really enjoyed my stay. With a few tweaks to the arrival process, it would be a near-perfect spot for a relaxing getaway.
