Upon arrival, I was greeted by a friendly gentleman who showed me up to my room. The room was of good size with a reasonable sized bathroom. However, there are a couple of points that need attention. Even with the lights on, the room was quite dark and the area where the desk was located was even gloomier. It wouldnât be an issue if there was a lamp on the desk. The plug sockets are all in the wrong place and there are no USB points. Trying to recharge a laptop, an iPad and a phone overnight was quite a challenge.
The staff were all very pleasant and restaurant service was quick and efficient. The food isnât gourmet but itâs a popular destination. However Breakfast was extremely good.
According to a sign in the car park, the Curious Pig is under new ownership. With a little bit of imagination, the Curious Pig could offer a very good alternative to the larger bland hotels in the area due to itâs close proximity to Gatwick Airport.
I would certainly stay again.
