I booked a night at Leonardo Zurich Airport, fairly last minute due to changing travel plans. I booked the hotel since it hard parking (it even said “free parking”) and a charger for my EV.
Upon arrival, I parked in the parking garage, but I couldn’t find the EV chargers, only different wall outlets. Whenever I look for a hotel with an EV charger, I expect to find an EV charging station, and not different wall outlets. One of the outlets was a 3 phase 32A CEE charger, which didn’t fit my emergency charger. I found a standard wall outlet, but since it was only a standard wall outlet, I only got 20-30% charge overnight, which was far from enough.
I therefore asked the reception about the lacking EV charger, and the response was “please ask my manager in the morning”. Since I would only be staying one night, this was too late, which I also let the receptionist know. She apologized but just repeated that I should speak with the manager.
I was also charged 25 CHF for the parking, even though the reservation said “free parking”. I was again told to talk to the manager in the morning.
The room was ok, but the two mattresses which formed my bed were not attached properly to each other, thus the beds would keep sliding away from each other during the night.
The coffee machine in the room still had the old coffee caps in the machine, which wasn’t as pleasant.
For the price the hotel was ok, but I expect the amenities and facilities to be as described here online.
