Booked two nights for a birthday treat to visit my daughter at University. Staff friendly, helpful, restaurant food was good. Hotel clean, shower really hot. Breakfast Buffett was good.
First night, room cold had to sleep in a jumper, heating was on a timer, the heating went off the room was cold, gadget on the wall didn’t work, pillows were air filled and not supportive. Only one lift working and the noise from the lift kept us awake all night.It would seem the seals on the windows had failed.
Next day staff extremely helpful, gave us an upgrade, moved us away from the lift, gave us two memory foam pillows, provided an oil filled heater and some small cakes for my birthday. The room change was a big difference, the room was warm all night but one window seal was still poor. So Customer Service was excellent.
Advice, at the moment avoid rooms near the lift due to noise. Window seals need checking in the hotel.
